Matthew 21

Now when they drew near Jerusalem, and came to Bethphage, at the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples,
2 saying to them, “Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Loose them and bring them to Me.
3 And if anyone says anything to you, you shall say, ‘The Lord has need of them,’ and immediately he will send them.”
4 All this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying:
5 “Tell the daughter of Zion, ‘Behold, your King is coming to you, Lowly, and sitting on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey.’ ”
6 So the disciples went and did as Jesus commanded them.
7 They brought the donkey and the colt, laid their clothes on them, and set Him on them.
8 And a very great multitude spread their clothes on the road; others cut down branches from the trees and spread them on the road.
9 Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying:
“Hosanna to the Son of David! ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ Hosanna in the highest!”
10 And when He had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, “Who is this?”
11 So the multitudes said, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth of Galilee.”

Leviticus 23

The Passover and Unleavened Bread
4 ‘These are the feasts of the Lord, holy convocations which you shall proclaim at their appointed times.
5 On the fourteenth day of the first month at twilight is the Lord’s Passover.
6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the Lord; seven days you must eat unleavened bread.
7 On the first day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no customary work on it.
8 But you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord for seven days. The seventh day shall be a holy convocation; you shall do no customary work on it.’ ”

Do the dates matter? No, I don't believe so. It is between you and the Lord, what is in your heart, when you celebrate him. Most calendars have been corrupted over the centuries. The Gregorian calendar is a made up calendar, not even trying to follow Biblical guide lines. The day of rest was arbitrarily changed to Sunday. Again, you work 5-6 days a week, and then you rest. Some people rest on Monday, or in the middle of the week. Consecrating a day for the Lord's ordained day of rest, again, it is between him and you. But, inserting Pagan traditions is not to be done (Easter and Christmas are both heavily tainted by Pagan traditions). The Hebrew calendar, I don't trust it, it has been influenced by the Babylonian Talmud. Traditions, rules and regulations are man made, not God made. The Zadok calendar made by descendants of Levite priests, seems to me to be more trustworthy.

Is 'Easter' in the bible?

The term Easter is found in Acts 12:4
But only in very few English translations of the Bible. (4 out more than 40)
Mace New Testament
having apprehended Peter, he put him into prison, appointing a detachment of sixteen soldiers to guard him, intending to have him brought to publick execution, after Easter.
Bishops' Bible of 1568
And when he had caught hym, he put hym in pryson also, and delyuered hym to foure quaternions of souldiers to be kept, intendyng after Easter to bryng hym foorth to the people.
Coverdale Bible of 1535
Now whan he had taken him, he put him in preson, and delyuered him vnto foure quaternions of soudyers, to kepe him: and thought after Easter to bringe him forth to the people.
Tyndale Bible of 1526
And when he had caught him he put him in preson and delyvered him to .iiii. quaternios of soudiers to be kepte entendynge after ester to brynge him forth to the people.
King James Bible(Classic translation)
And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.

All other English translations use the orinal term Passover, and a few (2) use pascha or pasch from the Greek "πάσχα" (pascha).
New King James Version
So when he had arrested him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four squads of soldiers to keep him, intending to bring him before the people after Passover.

Catholic Translations:
Douay-Rheims Bible
And when he had apprehended him, he cast him into prison, delivering him to four files of soldiers to be kept, intending, after the pasch, to bring him forth to the people.
Catholic Public Domain Version
So when he had apprehended him, he sent him into prison, handing him over into the custody of four groups of four soldiers, intending to produce him to the people after the Passover.

New Testament was mostly translated from the Greek. Passover in Greek is: "πάσχα" (pascha). In French it is called Pâques (very close to the Greek).

Easter was to celebrate Jesus Christ's Resurrection, but the traditions have made something else. That's why, even though a Christian, I observe the Feasts of the Lord of Leviticus 23. That does not stop me from worshiping Christ Jesus, the Son of God, the Alpha and the Omega, who was even before the Creation of the Heavens and the Earth. My prayers are mostly and usually for him, or in His name.
I tend to sign the cross after a prayer, saying: in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Of the 'Christian' holidays, I do not celebrate:
Christmas, because it's the wrong date and the traditions are Pagan. Christmas trees in the Bible Jeremiah 10
Easter, because of the terminology too close to the term Ishtar (goddess of love; fertility and war), and the Pagan traditions. One can assume that the bunnies and the eggs, are symbols of fertility.
It makes it a Pagan ritual.
