A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State,
the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

A State Defense Force (SDF) is a state militia under the command of the chief executive of that state only.
Twenty-five states in America have some kind of SDF, and all states have laws allowing one.
Whether they call it state guards, state military reserves, or state militias,
they are not a part of the National Guard of that state and only partially regulated by the federal government
and cannot come under federal control.
Florida Governor De Santis is seeking the State legislature's approval to reinstate the State Guard,
making Florida the 26th state with a civilian State Defense Force.
There are 1,172,800 wartime veterans in the State of Florida.
Surely many would join the Florida State Militia, should the need arise.

(The last time I participated in a civilian Militia training, 5 of the 22 squad members were military war veterans. 2 of them were leading and training the squad.)

72 million Americans own a disproportionate share of the world’s firearms:
The U.S. has 4% of the world’s population
but owns about 40% of civilian-owned guns globally.
American gun owners each own, on average, more guns today (five) than they did two decades ago (four).
There Are 470,000,000 Guns In America (And Sales Keep Going Up) March of 2021 set an all-time record for the month.
It was truly the king of months in terms of overall background checks, which nearly reached 4.7 million.
Should the Federal Government try Australian type medical tyranny, they'd have a 2nd American Revolution.

Self Defense?

Without any doubt, Kyle Rittenhouse feared for his life when he was running away from evidently unstable Joseph Rosenbaum chasing him. Rosenbaum had just come out of a mental hospital.

Then in the aftermath many self appointed vigilantes resolved to chase him to very likely punish him, and who knows hang him without a trial?

Attacked, punched, kicked, hit with a skateboard, and in closure having a hand gun pointed at him, he proved his control by only shooting the threats.

Maybe you have heard about Big Tech censorship targeting posts showing Rittenhouse acted in self defense,
or how Rittenhouse’s legal defense GoFundMe was shut down.

Amendment II

Without the 2nd Amendment of the Bill of Rights We would be very likely in a worse situation than Australia, Canada, the UK, France or Austria.

About 40% of Americans say they or someone in their household owns a gun,
and 22% of individuals (about 72 million people) report owning a gun.

40% of Americans own over 400 million firearms and ammo.  To have Liberty, the government must fear the people, or else We would have tyranny.  This is why the USA is still the Nation that offers the most freedom, even though We've let the government trample the Constitution.  There is a threshold unknown to me that would anger Americans to the point of Revolt.  And that, tyrants want to avoid for now.  This is why 'THEY' create division among the People.  Would the People still be United, 'they' wouldn't have been able to take away liberties as they have.  Their approach is little by little, until our children no longer remember the Liberty this Nation had.

A provision in legislation recently passed by the US House of Representatives would allow military courts to issue protective orders that could be used to confiscate firearms from active duty troops without due process. Beyond this new potential military red flag law, the bill also proposes reversing key components of two Trump-era firearm and ammunition export-reform regulations.
