This statement is politically motivated. Today, they say it was written after Jesus' life.
Until the time of Jesus, synagogues had scrolls of the book of Enoch.
After 70 AD, Rabbinic Judaism excluded it. Honestly, I'm even surprised they printed in the Tanakh, passages like Isaiah 53; Daniel 9; Psalm 2; Proverbs 30...
WHY not Enoch?
Because after the life of Jesus, factions rose. Some Jews believed Jesus was the Messiah, while others were obstinately against Jesus being the Messiah. And both ideas were exported to other lands, wherever Judaism was practiced, and where churches began to worship Christ.
Because the idea of the Son of God, the Elect One, the Son of Man, the One Before Time, had to be scrubbed from Judaism.
Because the book of Enoch speaks of Him at length.
CANON
The Christian Church selected the Gospels, and added the Old Testament given by Rabbinic Judaism.
Why did Jude and Jesus quote the book of Enoch?
Why did Jesus call it Scriptures?
As in: "Is this not the reason you are mistaken, that you do not understand the Scriptures nor the power of God?"
(Mark 12:24 and Matthew 22:29)
Mark 12:18 Then some Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to Him; and they asked Him, saying:
19 “Teacher, Moses wrote to us that if a man’s brother dies, and leaves his wife behind, and leaves no children, his brother should take his wife and raise up offspring for his brother.
20 Now there were seven brothers. The first took a wife; and dying, he left no offspring.

Matthew 22:29 Jesus answered and said to them, “You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels of God in heaven.
31 But concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken to you by God, saying,
32 ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”
