Christopher Ledbetter was arrested in Oklahoma by the Mcloud police department.
This ended the months-long clash between Ledbetter, a former marine, and the department.
These events started around February when members of the community, including Ledbetter, took information that local officers were complicit with another person accused of pedophilia, to the sheriff's department.
These officers seemed to have been removed from the police force to be investigated.
The incident seemed to be under control until less than a month ago. One of the officers involved in the incident was reinstated and attempted to pull over Ledbetter. Chris messaged friends telling them he felt in danger and proceeded to his home
instead of stopping. His friends were waiting for him and dug in for security. After a tense
standoff spanning multiple days, police left Ledbetter's residence.
He wasted no time spreading the word of the corruption he witnessed, regularly posting videos to facebook and youtube with the latter being removed by the facebook staff. Christopher has spent the past few weeks sharing his information with various news organizations, who have yet to respond.
Today, Ledbetter’s residence was raided by Mcloud police accompanied by FBI teams and helicopters. Christopher Ledbetter was taken into custody. Other members of his group have been arrested by police following his raid, with many others afraid they will have the same fate.
The situation is still unfolding.
