"In this video, I share my journey as a Christian immigrant from Tajikistan, a country in Central Asia that was once part of the Soviet Union, and what I learned after moving to America, believing it was a “Christian country.”
I was born and raised in a Muslim family from a Shia Ismaili background, in a predominantly Sunni Muslim society. At 11 years old, I experienced a powerful encounter with the Holy Spirit that led me from Islam to Christianity. Giving my life to Christ has changed the course of my life and eventually brought me to the United States in search of religious freedom and higher education."
