With the Renaissance literacy proliferated.
Monarchs were threatened, due to the increasing knowledge.
Knowledge gave way to people aspiring for Freedom from oppression.
But the Renaissance didn't come about without pains.
Monarchs and the Clergy fought very hard to suppress knowledge. They called it 'Heresy'.
And the growing pains were met with 'The Inquisition'. Inquisition by the Clergy and also the Medieval Inquisition.
Monarchies were the only form of Government until the Renaissance.
Monarchs ruled their subjects by force or deceit, often using superstitions to steer the masses.
Monarchs in every part of the World always prevented people from learning.
Literacy was always a propriety of the Nobles or 'The Ruling Class'.
Laws of the Monarchies applied to the Subjects and not to the ruling class. Matter of fact, in some civilizations, the simple act of touching a Noble was punishable by Death.
With the Renaissance and the will of people to become Free, one successful Rebellion occurred and gave an example to the rest of the World: The American Revolution.
No other Nation was able step off Monarchy for very long, until the American Revolution.
With the American Revolution, a New form of Governance was born.
Many Nations followed in the footsteps of The United States of America.
The Thirteen colonies of the British Empire had found a way to Liberty and a way to keep it by Uniting. Had the Colonies not formed a Union, they would have lost the War of 1812, and Britain would have reconquered the 13 colonies.
A decade after the American Revolution, the French sought to abolish Monarchy too.
They did succeed briefly, but lost sight of the danger of worshiping a Personality.
Napoleon Bonaparte became Emperor.
And the following 'Republics' were, but, a masquerade of Liberty.
Today, The Republic is once more divided.
The Laws are applied to the people but not 'the Ruling Class'. The Ruling Class and their dogs, are exempt from too many laws, including Treason.
We are at a turning point in America and in the World at large.
If America weirs off it's form of Governance, and too many signs point to it, Liberty will be forgotten, and not only We, but the world, will return to a Monarchy like governance, or Oligarchy.
It is the nature of Man to seek protection.
It is the nature of Man to submit for security.
It is the nature of Man to be easily deceived, more so, when knowledge is reduced.
It has always been in the interest of Rulers to keep their Subjects ignorant.
It has always been in the interest of Rulers to Deceive their ignorant Subjects.
It has always been in the interest of Rulers to manipulate and control populations.
But, some Men cannot stand to be ruled.
Some Men always seek Truth and Freedom.
Some Men know the value of Liberty.
Some Men are Leaders of Goodness and Benevolence.
Rulers are always perpetrators of Evil acts and oppression on those they consider their inferiors.
